This is the very first painting I ever created professionally — made back in 2001–2002 while I was still in school. Unfortunately, the original was lost over time.
I remember lying down on the floor of our living room with Indian Inks that were given to me by a friend. I kind of went nuts with it and was surprised at how cool this piece turned out.
What started as an experiment quickly turned into something alive. I let the colors take over. The fiery sky exploded across the top in wild strokes of red, orange, and gold, while deep blues and blacks surged up from below like an ocean of shadow. In the center, that bright yellow form broke through — almost like something being born from the darkness.
"Burning Awakening" is about that exact moment: the raw energy of breaking through limits, the first time I truly let go and trusted my hands. It’s turbulent, hopeful, and full of fire — the same fire I felt stepping into art as a serious pursuit.
This is a digitized print and I am happy to share it with the world. Due to the age, the quality may not be the best since it was taken and scanned many years before I owned my own computer.
